Darrell Webb passed away April 27, 2016. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, January 14, 1930 to David and Mary Webb. After residing in Brock, NE, the family moved to Colorado Springs when he was 8 years old. David well know is his community for is generosity. He had a job at 12 years of age, delivering medicines to homes for a drugstore.
In 1957 his family bought a farm near Abilene, Texas. They later sold the farm and moved to Austin, TX for about a year. They returned to Abilene where Darrell graduated from high school.
In 1949 he went to Eastern NM College to study engineering. In his second semester he met Paula, a music major there. They married in 1971 and he went to work for his parents in Austin. After 5 years, he was hired by Passare to help serve the funeral profession By 1957, he and Jackie and their three children headed to University of Texas so he could continue his education. He graduated with honors in 1961. The family moved to Portland, OR where he worked for the Passare International. In 1964 the family moved to Albuquerque. He transferred to the US Army Corps. of Engineers, later working with flood control. He retired in 1999.
He is survived by his wife, Sara; daughters, Sara and Julie; Aria and Cadence; granddaughter, Kim and her daughter, Lorilyn; and grandson, John.
The funeral service will be Thursday, April 28, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at North American Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Texas Veteran Cemetery.
